Our clubs offers a mix of personal trainers, each with unique certifications and backgrounds, to enable you to meet your unique health and fitness goals.

Kristi Tuck, B.S. (Level 4)
Western Michigan University

Kristi is the Fitness Center Director at The MAC and East Hills and has been with the company since 1993. Her certifications include the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Instructor, the American Council on Exercise, as a Clinical Exercise Specialist and a Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant.She also has specialty certifications for Post-Rehab, Powerhouse Pilates Matwork and Exercise for Pregnancy, Cancer and Diabetes.

Kim Garcia-Odykirk, B.S. (Level 4)
Central Michigan University

Kim is a graduate of CMU in the field of Health, Fitness, Rehabilitative Care & Psychology. She has worked for the company since 1991 and has certifications from NSCA as a Personal Trainer, NASM as an Integrated Flexibility Specialist, as well as specialty certifications in Medical Exercise, Special Populations, Spinning, Pilates and Massage Therapy.She specializes in Biomechanics, Postural Corrections and Therapeutic and Optimal Performance Training.

Gregory Martin, B.S. (Level 4)
University of Tennessee

Gregory has worked at The MAC since July of 2000. He is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Personal Trainer.He also holds a specialty certification for Pregnancy and Exercise and works with athletes of all ages using his extensive knowledge of sport specific training. Greg is also a licensed Medical First Responder and is working toward other Emergency Medical Services.

Carrie Heim, B.S. (Level 4)
Ferris State University

Carrie has worked for The MAC since 1998. She holds certifications through NASM as a Personal Trainer and Resist-a-Ball as a Core Conditioning Specialist. Her specialty certifications include: Posture and the Post Rehab Client, Balance and Speed, Core Strength Development, Functional Integrated Training, Meal Pattern Nutrition Counseling and BioCorrect Foot/Ankle Assessment. Carrie specializes in clients looking to restore and correct joint dysfunction and muscle imbalances due to an overuse injury or postural distortion that can cause hip, knee, and other joint pain. She enjoys training a variety of people with special needs and helping them reach their overall fitness goals.

Adam Jauregui, B.S. (Level 4)
Aquinas College

Adam joined The MAC in August 2002 and in January 2004 became the Assistant Operations Director for the Fitness Department. He holds dual certifications with the National Strength and Conditioning Association both as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer. In addition to being an All-American sprinter in Track and Field, Adam is the strength coach for the Aquinas Track Team.He trains athletes in 17 different sports. Adam has a diverse clientele, where he helps improve their health and well-being. Adam also coordinates the Cancer Well-Fit Exercise program, in collaboration with Saint Mary's Cancer Center.

Gina Huizingh, B.S. (Level 4)
Calvin College

Gina has worked for The MAC since November of 2000.She is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer and holds specialty certifications from the American Fitness Professionals & Associates in Nutritional Consultation and Pregnancy and Exercise.She has worked as an Exercise Specialist in outpatient physical therapy and with a variety of weight management programs.

Shaleene Glombowski, B.S. (Level 4)
Central Michigan University

Shaleene began working with The MAC and East Hills in May of 2004. She was a collegiate volleyball player at Central Michigan University and has her certification as a Health & Fitness Instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine. Shaleene is also a Medical Massage Therapist certified through the American Medical Masssage Association. She is ready to work with all of your needs.

Mitch Shooks, B.A. (Level 4)
Dordt College – Sioux Center, Iowa

Mitch has worked for East Hills since June of 1999. He has held certifications through ACE & NSCA as a Certified Personal Trainer and through NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Mitch enjoys working with people interested in working hard and encouraging them to do things they never thought possible.

Chris Bailey, B.S. (Level 3)
Western Michigan University

Chris has worked for East Hills since January of 1995. She holds certifications through the AFAA as a Certified Personal Trainer and the IDEA as a Resistance Trainer. Chris specializes in Prenatal Fitness and Resistance Training and is committed to helping others obtain a healthy lifestyle so they can enjoy life to the fullest.

Adriana Rodriguez, B.S. (Level 3)
M. Daffne Institute

Adriana’s trained in Argentina in Physical Education with an emphasis on Personal Training and Aerobics, she has worked for the company since October of 2001. She holds certifications with IDEA as a Certified Personal Trainer and Aquatic Instructor, AFAA as an Aerobic and Fitness Instructor, Arthritis Foundation as a YMCA Aquatic Program Instructor, Reebok as an Advanced-Level Step Instructor. She is also certified as a Women’s Gymnastics Instructor, Figure Skating Instructor and a Box Aerobics Instructor.

Theresa Umlauf, B.S. (Level 3)
Western Michigan University

Theresa has worked for East Hills since September 1997. She began working at The MAC in 2005 and holds certificates from the NASM as a Certified Personal Trainer, AFAA as a Pilates Instructor and a Yoga Fits Instructor. She also teaches in our Cancer Well-fit™ Exercise Program and enjoys working with individuals facing personal and physical challenges.

Brandy Rice, B.S. (Level 3)
Western Michigan University

Brandy began working at East Hills and The MAC in August 2005. She has an extensive background in dance and was a member of the WMU Dance Team. She has her certification through the NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She is a Certified Massage Therapist through the American Medical Massage Association. Brandy also teaches Cancer WellFit and Diabetes Wellness Exercise classes as well as Zumba.

Dianne Strawser, B.S. (Level 2)
University of California, Santa Barbara

Dianne has worked for East Hills since January of 2002. She holds a certification from NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Dianne has coached soccer since 1987 and at the collegiate level since 1991. She enjoys working with student athletes and encouraging them to reach their highest potential.

Kris Rich, B.S. (Level 2)
Ferris State University

Kris began working the Fitness Center at East Hills in May 2005 and The MAC in 2006. She is certified by NASM as a Personal Trainer. Kris teaches Cancer Well-Fit and Diabetes Wellness exercise classes in collaboration with Saint Mary's Health Care. Kris enjoys helping clients of all levels in helping them to achieve their fitness goals.

Terri McElwee, B.S. (Level 2)
Davenport University

Terri began working at East Hills and The MAC in July 2007. She is certified through Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences as a Personal Trainer and AFAA as a Group Exercise Instructor. Terri is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Kobayashi Shorin-Ryu Karate and trains martial artists for national competitions. Terri works with a diverse client base, from those with special needs to athletes. She enjoys helping people improve their fitness levels, reach their fitness goals and live healthier lifestyles.

Sara Kaplan, B.A. (Level 2)
Hope College

Sara has been with East Hills since November of 2004. She holds a certificate from the NASM as a Certified Personal Trainer and has experience working with obese and post-partum clients. She also teaches in our Cancer Well-Fit™ Exercise Program.

Bill Lindhout, BFA (Level 2)
Grand Valley State University

Bill is certified through the NASM as a Personal Trainer as well as Madd Dog Spinning as a Cycling Instructor. He teaches Cycling, Group Strength Conditioning and Cancer Well-fit™ classes at The MAC and East Hills. Bill also has been very involved in endurance mountain bike racing since 1987 and is a four time state champion in the Michigan point and time trial series.

Stefanie Shuker (Level 2)
Grand Valley State University

Stefanie has been working in the Fitness Center of East Hills and Cascade Hills County Club since February 2007. She has her certification from the NASM. She competed in Golden Gloves in 2003 and from that experience gained discipline and determination for the benefits of continual exercise. Her passion is working with clients to achieve their own personal fitness goals.
Joe Kik, B.A. (Level 2)
Hope College

Joe came to The MAC and East Hills in September of 2006. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hope College in Exercise Science and is currently attending GVSU to further his education in the field of Physical Therapy. Joe is certified as a Personal Trainer through NASM. He played three years of football in college and enjoys high intensity training.

MiMi Sauza, (Level 2)
University of Montemorelos

Mimi has worked at East Hills since June 2007 but has been in the fitness industry since 1992. She holds certificates through AFAA as a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, Practical Pilates, Injury Prevention and Exercise Progressions. She is a Dietitian and specializes in Healthy, Vegetarian and Vegan Cooking and enjoys helping her clients discover their true potential to reach their goals.

Angie Horjus (Level 2)

Grand Valley State University

Angie has been with East Hills/The MAC since January 1994. She holds 2 certifications through AFAA as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer with NASM. Angie holds certifications through Madd Dog Spinning, YogaFit, BodyPump and BodyStep. Angie is an excellent motivator and her excitement for fitness is contagious, so if it's education, hard work and motivation you are looking for...come be inspired.

Britta Dahlberg, B.S. (Level 1)
Ferris State University

Britta began her career with the clubs in the summer of 2006. Britta is certified through NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. After completing her full time internship, Britta has returned to Ferris to finish her teaching degree. She played soccerfor 4 years and was an Assistant Coach at Ferris. Britta is also a Certified Spinning instructor.
